  • Het belang van backup!!

    Backup maken van gegevens

A good advice: don't forget to make backup of your data before your workstation crash.
Some use outlook and keep more than 1000 mails, agenda items, contacts...
We are shure that after a computer crash and data loss wil be the same as a an explosed bom.
Don't wait untill it happens and make an appointement of discussion in your agenda.

The Internet Society is a non-profit, non-governmental, international, professional membership organization. Its more than 100 organization members and over 20,000 individual members in over 180 nations worldwide represent a veritable who's who of the Internet community. You should be a member, too. The work of the Internet Society focuses on four "pillars:" standards, public policy, education and training and membership.

ISOC founded in 1992 in the United States by the father of the internet, Vinton G. Cerf. It provides leadership in addressing issues that confront the future of the Internet, and is the organization home for the groups responsible for Internet infrastructure standards, including the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Internet Architecture Board (IAB).

Internet Society Belgium is a Chapter of the international organisation and member of the European Co-ordination Council.

ISOC Belgium has been founded on November 16th 1998 as an initiatif of Cecilia Jorgenssen. After 2 years intensive work, she handed over the organisation to Rudi Vansnick, who since 2000 has been working on the "ressurection" of Internet Society Belgium. March 2001 till November 2003 have been a period of silence, due to professional occupations and the change within the internet world. End 2003, ISOC Belgium reopened his activities, with the willigness to build an important community.

The "Dag van de Technologie" (March 2004) has been the kick-off of many meeting with governmental bodies, organisations in telecom and standards, resulting in the official recognition of ISOC Belgium. During several months we have been working on documents, studied the ongoing change of attitudes in the internet, preparing a new workplan and finalizing agreements. We have been participating in INET2004 in Barcelona.

ISOC Belgium vzw is also the official representative for W3C in Belgium and Luxemburg. In November 2004, ISOC Belgium has been certified ICANN At Large Structure, in 2006 co-founder of the EURALO (European Regional At Large Organisation).
